ABOUT Us
We are a Family-Friendly, Fantasy Focused, Dungeons and Dragons, Actual-Play Podcast.
Now that is a mouthful, let me break it down...
Family-Friendly: we believe that most of our content is great for 8 and up! No explicit content here!
Dungeons and Dragons: a table-top role play game. Where players play characters (much like an Actor) and the Game Master (DM) describes what is going on (much like a Narrator).
Actual-Play Podcast: This means that we literally play Dungeons and Dragons live, with a few minor edits in the final cut of an episode.
Hello there! I'm David, I play DM Dave, the Dungeon Master/Game Master of this here podcast. I was one of those guys who thought, 'I'm a nerd but that's a level of nerd I will not touch' in performing in plays and role playing games (RPG). Now I am a yearly performer in the Brigham City Fine Arts Center's Melodrama which has fed my love for Role play games, especially D&D. Both have become great hobbies that I enjoy with friends and family. I also love to play video games, BioShock and Diablo being 2 of my favorites.
I am an Electrician by trade, husband to Abby who plays Henley, Father to 2 girls. I am also a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints for which I served a 2 year mission in Veracruz + Villahermosa Mexico missions.
Hi! My name is Abby, I play Henley. I'm DM Dave's wife going on 7 years now. I served an LDS Mission in Texas and I love all things Watermelon. I have 2 little girls. I'm a stay at home parent and I'm currently going to school studying Communications, formally English. I do much of the writing for Saulum and Quill and I create all the visuals for the podcast...Logo...Character Art...Etc. I'm passionate about all Art. If it's Art I've dabbled. I'm particularly passionate about Musical Theatre. David and I do a Musical Melodrama together every year. I've done vocal coaching and I'm currently mentoring to become a volunteer Theatre Director.
Hey! My name is Elsie, I play Boudreaux. My favorite color is yellow. I Love cartoons, clouds, thunderstorms, and plants but I tend to kill plants (it’s a learning process). I'm the 4th child out of 5. I've worn glasses since I was 3. I Served a Mission for the LDS church in Lousianna/Mississippi where I found a Love for jambalaya. I Love my boxer dog Curly...Oh and I broke my pinky toe once (only bone I’ve broken). And I’m not obsessed but I do love jello, red raspberry is my fave.
Hello! My name is Bekki. I play Lyla Softfox and Goratha Firestone. They are a multiple personality character. That means they were two very independent people who now share one body. They have two very diverse backgrounds with, sometimes, two very strong and different opinions from each other.
I am married to Evan and we have three very rambunctious kids that I currently stay at home with. Outside of that I have had a diverse working background. My favorite was a corporate trainer for a national DME company. It curbed the travel bug I have as well as fed the love of teaching and continuous learning I have.
I have always been into the dramatic arts. D&D has helped curb that as an adult where drama class ,musical theater class, stage manager, and stage crew hand curbed that as a teen. Not to mention D&D is all about collaborative story telling which is something I love in any form.

I also gives me an excuse to get together with some amazing people that I know and meet new people that have become friends or better friends than we were before.
I hope y'all enjoy this journey as much as I enjoy being a part of this
Hello there! My name is Evan, I play Roscoe, and I live along the rocky mountains, born and raised! I'm a huge fan of baseball although I don't play much anymore. I'm also a giant nerd. I can out Star Wars most people and I love Lord of the Rings, which is partially what drew me to D&D. That and it was a good opportunity to get out and hang out as adults! I've been married to my wife Bekki, who plays Lyla, going on 9 years now! I have 3 Children. I am currently the General Manager of an Arby's but who honestly knows where I'll be in 5 years.
Hi! My name is Zeb, I play Fenrir. I was introduced to D&D by DM Dave and Abby about 5 years ago and although it took me a few months to grow into it, it has become my hobby. I am the Editor but not Chief of the Podcast and enjoy bringing Tomes of the Chaos bard to the listeners. I work in the medical field as a Physical Therapist and enjoy sports and am an avid fan of the Utah Jazz. I also enjoy movies: LOTR, Star Wars, and anything with Will Smith. Playing video games is also a favorite past time with Diablo and the Final Fantasy series, with X, V, and Tactics being my favorites.
Hello! My name is Dee Ann Nichols, I compose the music for this Podcast. I have been a musician since I started piano lessons at the age of 5. I also play the guitar, trumpet, Native American flute and drum. I majored in music in high school and eventually earned a Bachelors Degree in Theater from the University of the Pacific in Stockton, California. I have been associated with literally hundreds of theatrical productions throughout my life - both onstage and off.

For the past several years I have been working with the Brigham City Fine Arts Center on their annual Melodrama production. In 2014, I stretched my wings and began writing scripts and musical scores for the shows. That is where I met Abby and David. Long ago I developed such a strong interest in Fantasy Role Playing games that I co-authored a fantasy game called Shields of Power™ (which is available in digital form on the DriveThru RPG website www.drivethrurpg.com .) After discovering this mutual interest, Abby and David asked me for assistance in creating their RPG podcast Tomes of the Chaos Bard™ and I was glad to oblige.
Throughout my life, I have worked in the realms of energy, creation, and imagination. In the early 2000s I was introduced to the world of energetic healing through the shamanistic traditions of the medicine people of the High Andes in Peru. I am a trained teacher, healer and ceremonialist in this tradition and I like to continue to help spread the teachings of the Inca as taught to me by their descendants, who live in the Qeros region outside Cusco. The Qero people travel the world to offer their knowledge to all, to heal the earth and to encourage others to continue their work in order to make sure that their traditions do not die.
I have discovered that with dedication, integrity, and focused intention all things are possible – even those things that seem impossible at first. I hope you will open your mind’s eye to the world of Saulum and Quill as they relate their delightful adventures accompanied by my music lovingly offered for your enjoyment.
